Kittung is the high creator god of the Sora, a Munda (Austroasiatic) people of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh studied by Elwin and Vitebsky. Sora religious life is dominated less by Kittung than by the sonum — the experiential dead-and-spirit beings with whom shamans hold dialogue.
