Kella
Tuareg · mortal · Tuareg traditional religion; continuing · Recorded classification
Kella is the daughter born to Tin Hinan in the Hoggar and the eponymous ancestress of the Kel Rela (Kel Ghela), the aristocratic drum-group that dominated the Kel Ahaggar confederation. Through her the nobility trace their descent to Tin Hinan by an unbroken matriline, in keeping with the strongly matrilineal cast of Tuareg genealogical reckoning.
