Azaka Medeh

THE ONE LWA IN THIS BATCH WHO IS NEITHER FIERCE NOR SOLEMN, AND THE CORPUS HELD NOTHING LIKE HIM. A registry of twelve Haitian records that ran from the supreme God through the serpent, the sea and the graveyard held no lwa of the fields at all. The many names the source gives him - Kouzin, Couzen, Azake, Mazaka, Mede, Papa Zaka, Cousin Zaca - are carried as aliases on one record rather than split, because the source presents them as names for one figure. He carries a verified-solitary verdict: the retrieved treatment gives him no named kin, and the cousinship his title implies is a form of address, not a genealogy this batch will invent.
