ONE SOURCE DISCREPANCY IS CARRIED RATHER THAN RESOLVED. One treatment consulted calls Creiddylad Gwyn's SISTER, which would make the abduction a different kind of story; another says she is returned to HER FATHER, and the standard patronymic makes her the daughter of Lludd. This record therefore asserts NO kin relation to Gwyn at all and names no father — her `parentIds` are empty and `welsh_lludd_llaw_eraint`, whom the corpus holds, is not pointed at. The discrepancy is a census row. Her rivalry is read as the contest between summer and winter and as a variant of the Holly King pattern, which is a scholarly reading and stays here rather than in a domain.
