Yachor Arrorr
Yanesha · deity · Yanesha traditional religion; continuing · Recorded classification
Yachor Arrorr is the moon and the lunar counterpart of the sun Yompor Ror, whom she is both twin sister and wife, following the Yanesha pattern in which the paired divinities are simultaneously siblings and spouses. As 'Our Mother' she is a protective, maternal figure associated with agriculture and the fertility of the crops, her cool light complementing the heat of her solar brother-husband.
