Pir Musi

Yarsani · deity · Yarsani traditional religion; continuing · deity

Pir Musi is one of the seven holy companions of the central manifestation in Yarsani belief. He is the recording angel of the heptad, charged with keeping the register of human deeds, and tradition further honours him as the scribe who first committed the orally revealed sacred poems to writing. He is commonly identified with the archangel Michael. Together with Benyamin and Dawud he forms the triad of companions named most often in the sung Gurani liturgy, and the lineage tracing its descent from him is one of the founding houses of the Ahl-e Haqq.
