Iku

Iku is death with a name and a rank. The Ajogun are the other side of the Yoruba cosmos — two hundred malevolent powers at war with people, in permanent opposition to the orisha, and headed by eight of whom Iku is first — and the point of the arrangement is that the system is not benign by default. It holds because the orisha are fighting for you, which is why they have to be fed. The collective is not recorded here; its head is.
