Zoroastrian · numen · primordial · numen

An animal, and ingested where four Norse horses and a Slavic horse were rejected — because the ground for rejecting those was that they were identified only by a name and an owner. This one is a singular created being with a name, a role in the cosmogony, its own three thousand years and its own death, and it is the source of animal life. Sex is unspecified because the Avestan is a neuter formation and the tradition itself varies between an ox and a cow. Type is 'numen' rather than 'mortal' because it is a made being of the first creation rather than a member of a species, there being no species yet.
