Oyoko-clan matriarch and the genealogical hinge of the early Asante royal line: sister of the Kwaman chief Obiri Yeboa, and mother of both Osei Tutu I (the founder of Asante) and Nyaako Kusiaa. Akan succession being matrilineal, it is through her that Osei Tutu inherited the Kwaman stool from his maternal uncle Obiri Yeboa, and through her daughter Nyaako Kusiaa that the stool passed to Opoku Ware I.
