Sister of Osei Tutu I and mother of Opoku Ware I, the second Asantehene; reckoned the first Asantehemaa (queen-mother) of Asante in the Oyoko regnal tradition. Through her, Opoku Ware succeeded his maternal uncle Osei Tutu per Akan matrilineal succession.
