Third-generation Haykazuni patriarch; son of Aramaneak; founder of Armavir, the first Armenian capital city. Armavir on the Araxes River served as Haykazuni capital throughout the legendary period and into the Orontid (Yervanduni) Persian-period satrapy, until the 2nd-c. BCE Artaxiad relocation to Artaxata. Archaeologically attested as a major Iron-Age and Achaemenid-period settlement, providing some material-historical grounding to the Khorenatsi foundation-tradition.
