Pachakamáite is a benevolent sky-deity, ranked among the fathers (páwa) and named in the recorded cosmology as the son of the sun. His name is a reflex of the pan-Andean creator Pachacamac, absorbed into the Asháninka pantheon of transformer-spirits, and he is regarded as a source of goods and well-being for humankind. He belongs to the class of good spirits of whom Pavá is chief.
