The tasorentsi, also called amachénka, are the class of benevolent, godlike spirits who inhabit the upper sky and possess the power to transform anything by blowing upon it. They are the pantheon that created and governs the cosmos; their chief and greatest is Pavá, and Pachakamáite is counted among them. The category shades into that of the maninkari, the hidden good spirits, with whom the tasorentsi are aligned against the demonic kamári. Their name, like the divine title of Pavá, comes from the verb 'to blow', which names their essential creative act.
