Sangpo Bumtri (Sangs-po 'bum-khri) is 'the Procreator' among the Four Transcendent Lords of the Bön pantheon, together with Satrig Ersang, Shenlha Ökar and the teacher Tönpa Shenrab. In Bön cosmogonic narratives he stands at the origin of the world of existence as the primordial ancestor and lord of created beings, a figure connected with the archaic Tibetan creator known in cosmogonic texts studied by Samten Karmay.
