Ao Bing
Chinese · demigod · mythic · demigod
DEMIGOD IS THE COMPUTED TIER, NOT AN ASSERTION: a deity father and an unnamed co-parent average to 0.5 under the registry's own arithmetic. He is the reason Nezha's story happens, and the corpus had Nezha, Li Jing, Taiyi's pupil Jinzha and Muzha, and not the boy Nezha killed.

- Reference treatment of Ao Bing: a dragon prince, the third son of Ao Guang, Dragon King of the East Sea, who volunteered to deal with Nezha and was slain by him in combat; the immortal Taiyi Zhenren later revived him using tendon-relaxing vines and white pine bark. Facing his parents' wrath after the killing, Nezha went to Taiyi Zhenren for help; Nezha's official Taoist name is Marshal of the Central Altar.
