Sun-Father

Desana/Tukano (Vaupés, Colombia), as recorded by Reichel-Dolmatoff. English 'Sun-Father' leads; Desana Abé ('sun'). The Sun-Father is the creator-deity, distinct from his emissary Pamurí-mahsë whom he sent to populate the earth. The yellow-light/seminal-power theme is central to Reichel-Dolmatoff's reading.
