Sah

Sah is Orion, and he is drawn exactly as the constellation looks if you are willing to see a man in it: striding forward in a boat, turning his head back over his shoulder, a star above him. Sirius follows him up over the horizon, which is why they are a couple. The Pyramid Texts identify the dead king with him — and with Osiris, who is also Orion — so that the king's afterlife is a constellation: something that sets, is gone for its proper season, and returns on time.
