Sitamun
Egyptian · quartigod · new kingdom · quartigod
Quartigod eldest daughter of Amenhotep III by Tiye. Elevated to Great Royal Wife of her own father in the period of his First Sed Festival (year 30, c. 1361 BCE) — the canonical Egyptian-pharaonic father-daughter Royal-Marriage that paralleled the divine-renewal Sed Festival. The Sitamun chair found in the tomb of her maternal grandparents Yuya and Tjuyu (KV46) bears her Great Royal Wife titulary.
