Letun

Etruscan · deity · archaic · deity

Letun is the Etruscan Leto, and she is in the record for the same reason Leto is: she is the mother of the twins. Etruscan mirrors name her with Aplu and Artume, whose father is Tinia. Beyond that role the Etruscan evidence gives her very little of her own — no sanctuary, no festival, no independent narrative — and the entry is confined to the parentage the mirrors support.
