The revealer-numen of the Etrusca Disciplina: a child plowed from the earth at Tarquinia with the face of a boy and the wisdom of a sage, who dictated the arts of haruspicy and the reading of lightning before passing away. The fountainhead of Etruscan sacred science, named on the Tuscania mirror as Tarchies.
