Son of the forest-king Tapio and the forest-mistress Mielikki, and a god of the hunt and of forest cattle in Tapiola. He marks and blazes the hunt-paths through the wood so that those he favours are guided to the best game, and is invoked in the Kalevala hunting-prayers (Lemminkainen Hiisi-elk hunt; bear-hunt charms), called the tall son of Tapio in his red cap and blue cloak. Wired as son of finnish_tapio and finnish_mielikki.
