Creon

Greek · quartigod · heroic age · quartigod

One of the Thespiadae (sons of Heracles by the daughters of Thespius). His mother is a daughter of Thespius whose name is lost in Apollodorus’ text, so only the patrilineal link to Heracles is recorded. Distinct from Creon, king of Thebes. The Thespiadae later colonized Sardinia under Iolaus — seven stayed at Thespiae, three (Apollod. 2.7.6) or two (Diod. 4.29) at Thebes, the remaining forty to Sardinia.
