Mortal king of Thebes; father of Megara (greek_apollod_megara, who already carries former-spouse->greek_apollod_heracles). Authored as the named-but-absent father supplied by Megara's prose ('daughter of King Creon of Thebes'). His father Menoeceus, sister Jocasta, and the usurper Lycus are named in the tradition but lack corpus entries, so they are described rather than wired. Distinct from the conflated regent-of-Oedipus role, which the tradition treats as the same Creon.
