Procris
Greek · mortal · heroic age · mortal
Athenian princess, third daughter of Erechtheus (greek_erechtheus) and Praxithea (greek_praxithea); wife of Cephalus son of Deioneus, by whom in some accounts she bore Arcesius. Authored as mortal (both parents mortal; Athenian royal). Her spouse Cephalus is not in the corpus (grep found only greek_apollod_thespiad_procris, a different Procris, and no greek_cephalus), so the Procris-Cephalus marriage is recorded here in prose rather than emitted as a spouse relation, per the rule that relation.personId must resolve. Killed accidentally by Cephalus with the unerring javelin she herself had brought him.
