Mortal king of Phocis, husband of Anaxibia (sister of Agamemnon) and father of Pylades. Foster-father of the exiled Orestes, whom he reared beside his own son — the household in which the Orestes-Pylades bond was formed. His father is given variously as Crisus son of Phocus (not registered).
