He is the reason the Pandavas can hold the rajasuya at all — the sacrifice requires that no rival emperor be left standing — and the corpus held the sacrifice's beneficiaries and not the obstacle. His enmity with Krishna begins with Kamsa's death, and Kamsa IS in the corpus, which makes this a gap with an existing edge already pointing at it.
