Second Sapa Inca; son of Manco Cápac and Mama Ocllo. The first Sapa Inca born in Cuzco rather than emergent from Pacaritambo, marking the transition from founder-generation to dynastic continuity. Founder of the Raurau Panaca, one of the senior corporate-landholding lineages of imperial-period Cuzco. Formalized the institution of male-puberty initiation at the Huanacauri huaca (the Huarachicuy / Capac Raymi rite), establishing the ceremonial framework that subsequent Sapa Incas elaborated into the Inca state's most-important annual ritual. The Sinchi title (pre-Inca regional war-leader) used as regnal name signals the formalization of Inca military-state authority — Sinchi Roca is the figure who transitions the Inca polity from migrant founder-cohort to consolidated Cuzco-basin sovereignty. Demigod-class (registry math: Manco Cápac demigod 0.5 + Mama Ocllo demigod 0.5 → child f=0.5 = demigod). His chronological dating is conventionally c. 1230 CE but, as with all pre-Pachacuti Sapa Incas, this is legendary-historical rather than archaeologically anchored.
