Kamimusubi
Japanese · deity · primordial · deity
The pairing with Takamimusubi is not a marriage — none of the first five have counterparts — but a doubling: the generative force named twice, high and divine, which is how this cosmology says 'everywhere' about something that has no body. In the Izumo material she is the power that restores Ōkuninushi to life after his brothers kill him, which is the one narrative act attached to any of the first three.
