The aged khan of the Katagan and revered patriarch of the older Kyrgyz generation. Central to the Memorial Feast, where he wrestles the Kalmyk giant Joloi for a full day until Manas intervenes; the Koshoy-Korgon fortress in the Naryn region bears his name.
