He is the king the 378 arrangement produced, and his monuments show him in Teotihuacan dress with Teotihuacan weapons, which is the reason anyone argues about the entrada at all. The grandfather named on his son's stela — Spearthrower Owl, dead in 439 — is generally taken for a Teotihuacan ruler, which would make the new Tikal dynasty a foreign house installed by force and legitimised by descent. The registry had none of this.
