Futreí Kerriíaí

Oscan · deity · Oscan Sabellic religion; pre Roman to Roman Italy · deity

Her name is the word for daughter, under the Cereal cult-title that several figures in the Agnone list share. The reference literature compares her with Persephone, and the comparison is natural — a Daughter beside a Mother in a sanctuary of grain — but the tablet neither names her mother nor tells a story about her, and this record does not supply either. She and Ammaí, the Mother, stand side by side in the list; that juxtaposition is recorded as co-invocation, not as kinship.
