Ozolua

Mortal-tier 14th Oba of Benin (~1481-1504 CE per Egharevba 1968). Son of Ewuare the Great. Cognomen Ozolua n'Ibaromi ("the conqueror") earned through extensive military campaigns expanding Benin's territorial reach — the canonical imperial-expansion phase of the kingdom. Continued the Portuguese trade relations established late in Ewuare's reign; the Pacheco Pereira account of c.1505 documents the commercial relationship. Died during the Uzea campaign c.1504.
