Misor

Misor is level ground used as a moral term, the way English uses 'straight'. He and Sydyk are a pair because the words are a pair — sedeq and mishor turn up together throughout Northwest Semitic as the formula for dealing rightly — and Philo, writing a genealogy, has to make them brothers. His son invents the alphabet, which places writing one generation downstream of honest dealing. For a Phoenician account of the world's useful inventions that is a defensible order.
