Kura
Māori · mortal · mythic prehistoric · Recorded classification
Maori woman, wife of Wahieroa and mother of Rata in the Grey recension. The Tregear recension names Wahieroa wife as Matoka-rau-tawhiri (Tonga-rau-tawhiri); the registry follows the dominant Grey reading naming Kura, which the Wahieroa and Rata entries presuppose.
