Kinyashi is the Kilindi king who stands in the traditions between the founding generations and the kingdom's greatest ruler. Son of Bughe and grandson of the founder-hero Mbegha, he held the sacred kingship at Vugha and is remembered as the father of Kimweri ye Nyumbai, under whom the kingdom reached its height. In the dynastic charter he embodies the continuity of the royal line and the transmission of its ritual authority over rain and land from one generation to the next.
