Tibetan form of Yama: lord of death, 'king of the religious law' (Dharmarāja), and a principal dharmapāla of the Gelug school depicted buffalo-headed and dark blue. His wrathful conqueror is Yamāntaka (Mañjuśrī), 'destroyer of Yama'.
