Tefer Jovius

Tefer Jovius is the third god of the inner triad of Iguvium, receiving three ewe lambs behind the Veian Gate and a prayer of his own in the liturgy of the Atiedian Brethren. His name is usually referred to the vocabulary of burnt offering, which would make him the recipient defined by the burnt portion; the derivation is a proposal rather than a settled result. Like the other two inner-gate gods he is known only from the Tablets and has no attested kin, consort or narrative.
