The record carries no dates and does not assert that he existed. The corpus has no Arthurian tradition key and this batch does not create one; the tradition-key question this programme has raised in eight lanes applies here as sharply as anywhere, because Arthur is held in Welsh, Cornish, Breton, French and English traditions and the registry currently has him in none.
