Kaimo is counted among the Anaposo, one of the spirit-beings of the origin myth reenacted in the great ceremony. Like the other lesser members of the primordial company, it is preserved chiefly as a name and a masked character in the ethnographic record rather than through an independent myth; the form is recorded with variant orthography.
