Mortal priestess of Hera at Argos. Loved by Zeus, transformed into a white heifer. Persecuted by Hera's gadfly across continents; reached Egypt where she was restored and bore Epaphus. Foundress of the Egyptian-Argive royal lineage that produces Heracles many generations later.
