Eldest of the five Upapāṇḍavas (the sons of Draupadī by the five Pāṇḍavas, one by each husband). Quartigod-tier through paternal Dharma-line via Yudhiṣṭhira. Killed in the Sauptika-massacre on the night after the Kurukshetra war — Aśvatthāmā, mistaking the sleeping Upapāṇḍavas for their Pāṇḍava fathers, slaughtered all five along with Dhṛṣṭadyumna and Śikhaṇḍī. The collective death of the Upapāṇḍavas terminates the dynastic continuation of the Pāṇḍava-line through Draupadī, leaving only Abhimanyu's posthumously-revived son Parīkṣit (through Subhadrā's line) to continue the Kuru dynasty.
