Caoilte mac Rónáin

Irish · mortal · fenian cycle · mortal

He is the other half of the Acallam na Senórach, the Colloquy of the Ancients — the twelfth-century frame in which the survivors of the Fianna walk around Ireland with Saint Patrick naming places and telling him what happened at each. That text is how most of the cycle survives, and the corpus held neither of the two men who speak it.
