Sulkalmakhi

Mortal hunter of Svaneti; lover of the hunt-goddess Dali. Cut open the dying Dali's womb at her own request to remove the unborn Amirani. Husband of Darejan and natural father of Badri and Usup, Amirani's mortal half-brothers. Regional naming-variants: Sulkalmakhi (Svan, dominant), Darjelan (Pshav), Iamani (other regional traditions). The variant naming reflects regional textual preservation rather than parentage opacity — the structural role and the Dali-paternity link are stable across all variants.
