The Mangaian Hina (Gill 1876): the woman in the moon who beats tapa, and the maiden of the Tuna-eel and first-coconut tale. SOLITARY: Gill's Mangaian account fixes no divine parentage, spouse, or sibling for Ina within the cosmogonic genealogy — the eel-tale gives only the maiden and her god-lover Tuna; her kin are therefore not wired (Gill 1876, Ch. V).
