Tinirau

Lord of fish, second child of Vari and brother of Vatea (Gill 1876). His name 'myriad' marks the multitude of the sea-creatures in his charge. (The wider Polynesian Tinirau–Hina cycle stands apart from this Mangaian cosmogonic placement.)
