Tuwan Potre Malano Tihaya is the heroine of the Maranao Ramayana, a princess of surpassing beauty whose name is also given as Malaila Ganding. Won by Radia Mangandiri in a contest of suitors, she is carried off by Maharadia Lawana and held until the brothers and the monkey-hero win her back. She is the Maranao counterpart of Sita; in Francisco's recorded text she is also the mother of the monkey-hero.
