Mortal Roman matron; eldest daughter of Gaius Octavius by Atia Balba; elder full-sister of Octavian-Augustus. Married Mark Antony in 40 BCE as the canonical-historical Treaty-of-Brundisium political-marriage. Officially divorced by Antony in 32 BCE — the propaganda-event triggering the Senate's declaration of war on Cleopatra. Mother of Marcus Claudius Marcellus (Augustus's heir-apparent, the canonical Vergilian heu, miserande puer elegy of Aeneid 6.882) and of Antonia Major (grandmother of Nero) and Antonia Minor (mother of Germanicus and Claudius). Augustus delivered her laudatio funebris from the rostra in 11 BCE — the canonical-historical highest-honor public-funeral for a Roman woman.
