Demigod 25th-dynasty pharaoh, succeeding Shabaka c. 705 BCE. Reign synchronized with Sennacherib's third campaign against Hezekiah of Judah and the canonical-biblical 2 Kings 19:9 / Isaiah 37:9 mention of "Tirhakah king of Cush" (his brother Taharqa) — one of the canonical chronological-synchronism reference-points of the late-Iron Age Near East. Buried in el-Kurru pyramid Ku 18.
