The Reth-installation-rite (the founding-trio Nyikang-Dak-Anongo simultaneously installed at Akurwa, the Kwa-nyikwom march to Fashoda, the Nyiwer dive into the Nile to recover Nyikang's spirit) is the canonical-anthropological case-study of divine-kingship-installation that Frazer made famous in The Golden Bough and Evans-Pritchard analyzed in the 1948 Frazer Lecture.
