Boybori (Boybo'ri) is a chieftain of the Qungirot and the father of Alpomish. With his brother Boysari he rules the Boysun-Qungirot people; long childless, the brothers obtain offspring through vows at a saint's shrine, Boybori being granted the twins Alpomish and Qaldirg'och. His later demand of tribute or gift from his brother provokes the quarrel that scatters the clan and launches the epic's action. He also fathers, upon a slave-woman, the future usurper Ultontoz.
